The 580V is fitted with a 4-cylinder FPT engine that features a direct mechanical injection system. The engine can produce 97 hp at 2 200 rpm, and a whopping 420 Nm of torque at only 1 250 rpm. The engine is driven by a power shuttle gearbox that has 4 forwards and 4 reverse gears. It also features a load-sensing, closed centre hydraulic system that has a twin-gear pump and a flow rate of 156 ℓ per minute at 2 200 rpm.
