CASE Construction Equipment recently had four products named to Construction Equipment’s 2015 Top 100 New Products list — the CASE D Series Excavators, 580N EP Backhoe, Tier 4 Final Skid Steers and Compact Track Loaders, and 3-in-1 Welder/Generator/Air Compressor.

Compiled based on editors’ reviews and nominations, the Top 100 awards are designed to recognize the top equipment of the year based on advances in technology, new product lines, significant improvements to existing products and increasing competition in the field.

“This recognition from Construction Equipment is reflective of CASE’s continued dedication to developing innovative products that have a real impact on our customers’ bottom line,” says Jim Hasler, vice president – North America, CASE Construction Equipment. “We leverage industry-leading engine technology to produce equipment that is simple to use, delivers outstanding performance and efficiency in the field, and meets the ever-evolving needs of today’s business owners and equipment operators.”

More on the CASE winners:

  • D Series Excavators
The D Series Excavators provide significant operational gains over their C Series predecessors, including cycle times up to 12 percent faster, improved responsiveness and multifunctional control, and up to 14 percent greater fuel efficiency. Breakout forces are increased by as much as 6 percent.
  • 580N EP Backhoe
The Tier 4 Final 580N EP Backhoe is a lower-horsepower version of CASE’s popular 580N backhoe that maintains the same backhoe lift capacity and breakout force while providing greater fuel efficiency and a maintenance-free Tier 4 Final emissions solution.
  • Tier 4 Final Skid Steers and CTLs
CASE became the first manufacturer to offer skid steer loaders and compact track loaders with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology with the introduction of the SR270 radial-lift skid steer, the SV300 vertical-lift skid steer and the TR340 and TV380 CTLs. The SR270 is the industry’s largest radial lift skid steer with a rated operating capacity of 2,700 pounds at 90 horsepower.

The Tier 4 Final Alpha Series CTLs feature wider tracks, a greater overall width and lower ground pressure than other medium-frame CTLs. These Tier 4 Final skid steer loaders and CTLs all feature best-in-class torque, breakout force and standard auxiliary hydraulic flow, as well as the industry’s widest cab with best-in-class 360-degree visibility.
  • 3-in-1 Welder/Generator/Air Compressor
The CASE 12,000-watt 3-in-1 compressor/generator/welder features a newly designed, lightweight, single-cylinder engine, and combines three important tools into one convenient and portable package.

The compressor provides 22 cfm of air at 100 psi, which will power larger pneumatic air tools needed on jobsites. The welder provides 250 amps of power at 70 percent duty cycle, giving the operator the ability to do heavy onsite repairs. The generator offers a peak of 5,500 watts, with two 110-volt outlets and one 220-volt outlet — enough to power most jobsite tools. The machine comes with an industry-standard 30-gallon air tank, with an available tankless option to save space on work trucks.

The awards were announced in the magazine’s December 2015 issue.
