Pithampur Plant Celebrates 1000th Crawler Excavator Roll Out
Pithampur Plant celebrated the production of its 1000th CASE crawler excavator. This milestone was eagerly awaited since the inception of the crawler excavator project, which aimed to manufacture a 20 Ton Class crawler excavators from one of the most cost-competitive plants in the construction equipment segment.
The journey began in November 2019 when the first CASE crawler excavator, also known as Chex, rolled off the assembly line and proved its mettle in the market. The project faced numerous challenges, but our dedicated and sustainable team at Pithampur overcame them, meeting the management's expectations.
In November 2020, the plant received the green light to ship these machines worldwide to better serve its global customers. The crawler excavator assembly line at Pithampur is designed for an annual capacity of 1500 machines, making it the most modern and efficient assembly line in the plant. The components undergo welding, machining, and painting with state-of-the-art welding robots, a cutting-edge machining center, and a top-notch paint shop. This achievement marks a remarkable milestone for the Pithampur plant and a moment of celebration for the dedicated team that poured their efforts into ensuring the success of this project. The plant now exports its units to over 105 countries across the world.
Moreover, a new program is underway to deliver the EU Stage V excavator for the European Region by the end of the year, indicating a commitment to further milestones and growth. Pithampur plant's success is attributed to its exceptional execution team and strong leadership, ensuring that it will continue to achieve remarkable milestones in the future.
